For the GS-05 grade level:
Three years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Experience that may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work and demonstrated the ability to:
analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Examples of work experience that meet this requirement include:
Accurately types correspondence, reports, or similar materials from handwritten or electronic drafts using a personal computer (PC) or similar equipment and word processing software; ensures correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and appropriate format; uses database or spreadsheet software to accurately enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve data for standard reports; accurately and promptly transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using PCs or workstations; reads and processes incoming correspondence and material; OR A bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree; OR An appropriate combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. For the GS-06 grade level:
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications. Examples of work experience that meet this requirement include:
Sold items or permits, collected and accounted for moneys received, and reconciled sales; assembled monthly expenditures for operating budget reporting; reviewed correspondence for grammatical accuracy, attachments and punctuation; purchased, received, and distributed supplies and special order items; created travel orders and vouchers; OR One full year (18 semester/27 quarter hours) of successfully completed graduate level coursework that is directly related to the work of the position (such as Business or Public Administration, or other administrative or management fields related to the position being filled); OR A combination of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience listed above. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. For the GS-07 grade level:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications. Examples of work experience that meets this requirement include:
Collected and analyzed budgetary information and statistical data for use in the formulation and execution of budget requests, collection of monies, and/or reports; Purchased supplies, equipment, and services and reconciled purchases in an electronic database; Composed, typed, and proofread correspondence and narrative and tabular material (i.e., databases and spreadsheets); OR One full year (18 semester/27 quarter hours) of successfully completed graduate level coursework that is directly related to the work of the position (for example Business or Public Administration, or other administrative or management fields related to the position being filled); OR A combination of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience listed above. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
